Vatican Tour

The Vatican State is the smallest in the whole world and one of the most crowded places you can visit in Europe. In high season (from Easter to the first weekend of November) I advise the afternoons of Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will enter the gate to the so-called “Museums” directly having access to the rooms and halls that made the church history for centuries and still do. In these buildings, there are not only some of the most famous pieces of art in the whole world but there are different collections from Egyptian to contemporary ones, there are the Renaissance apartments of the Pope, painted by Raphael, and the States’ gifts including three pieces of the moon. You could enjoy the whole day strolling between larger and smaller courtyards, geographical maps, and amazing statues with a break for a cappuccino or a lunch open-air. The most famous environment is the holy Sistine Chapel with the frescoes by Michelangelo, where still today the papal election takes place. Since we are already inside the Vatican State we can use a special passage and reach the biggest catholic church in the world directly: San Peter Church with its long religious and art history and finish on San Peter Square
